Laurie David: Blaming kids for global warming

I don’t have a lot of good things to say about Laurie David. I have complained about her before on this site (see here). Her children’s book is full of non-truths and she is the producer of “An Inconvenient Truth” which is also filled with non-truths.

Evidently, Ms. Fretwell is also upset by the non-truths in Ms. David’s book and took a different tact from mine. She wrote a child’s book on the subject! I haven’t had the opportunity to read this book yet but I wanted to point it out to my readers that still have an open mind on this subject. Ms. Fretwell appears to want to give facts to our children rather than the propaganda that Mr. Gore and Ms. David profess.

Extreme Weather: Once Every… Well, Every Day Lately

This posting from Laurie David discusses the weather that certain parts of the US has seen lately and points out that it is extreme. Ms. David is careful not to say that these extremes are caused by global warming although she does criticize the President Bush went to Kansas to visit the damage by recent tornadoes there while not implementing weather changing laws.

Ms. David is a very powerful political force in the conversation regarding global warming but not necessarily a scientific force.  I would be very interested if she would do an analysis to see if these droughts, storms, and warmest days are unusual or if the press is just talking about it more.
