ABC News – April 20, 2007
Set your VCRs and TiVo! John Stossel, who I think is a brilliant reporter, is doing a story on global warming. I have absolutely no idea what Mr. Stossel will say although this article by him probably gives us some clues. This article goes into several myths of global warming.
Mr. Stossel’s show will be on ABC’s 20/20 on Friday May 4th. It will be titled “Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity”. Mr Stossel also has a book by the same title.
MYTH: Global warming will cause huge disruptions in climate, more storms, and the coasts will flood! America must sign the Kyoto Treaty! [broken into 4 sub-myths] Read more... (332 words, estimated 1:20 mins reading time)
The Heartland Institute – May 2007
This is a very good article. I will not be able to adequately capture all of its observations adequately. Please click through and read the entire article. The author, the past president of the American Association of State Climatologists, takes many of the points of the Oscar-winning file “An Inconvenient Truth” and analyzes them as to their scientific and mathematical accuracy.
I will reproduce some of the highlights below.
From Hollywood to Capitol Hill, Al Gore’s global warming horror movie An Inconvenient Truth is receiving a tremendous amount of attention this spring. It is a riveting work of science fiction. Read more... (496 words, estimated 1:59 mins reading time)
The Patriot Post – May 25, 2006
This article is an open letter to Mr. Al Gore, former Vice President of the United States. The letter is from Dr. Roy Spencer, a climate scientist who has evidently testified to Congress in the past and it appears has addressed Mr. Gore in testimony. Dr. Roy’s credentials are listed at the end of the original article and they are quite impressive. Dr. Roy compliments Mr. Gore on a job well done on the presenting of the “global warming theory” but then goes on to question some of the items of “The Inconvenient Truth” movie. Read more... In the News – April 6, 2007
Great blog article that lists references for both sides of the global warming argument. This is fantastic. Everyone should read this and follow the links if you are interested in reading both sides of this complicated issue. I will summarize the references but make sure that you click through and find the complete reference.
My only complaint about this list is that it didn’t include this blog: http://www.globalwarming-factorfiction.com as I think we are extremely balanced in our study of this issue.

House Science and Technology Committee – March 21, 2007
I will not make comments on this testimony. Former Vice President Al Gore deserves more respect than to have me make comments on his opinions and testimony.

US Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works – March 21, 2007
Senator Inhofe (R. Okla) is a member of this committee and he had remarks prior to the testimony of Mr. Al Gore, former Vice President of the United States. Senator Inhofe does not appear to believe that world is warming appreciably and, if it is, does not feel that humans are the root cause or at least does not appear to believe that humans should dramatically change behavior to alleviate the condition.
It is my perspective that your global warming alarmist pronouncements are now and have always been filled with inaccuracies and misleading statements. Many of the peer-reviewed studies published in such journals as Nature, Geophysical Research Letters, and Science are radically at odds with your claims. Read more... BBC – November 9, 2007
This is a heart wrenching article that should cause everyone to feel sad. Whether you believe that global warming is real or not or if it is caused by humans, really doesn’t matter when you read this article. It is obvious that these people are suffering due to the current weather trend in their part of the world.
Efforts to help developing nations adapt to the impacts of climate change have been called “woefully inadequate” by a UN-commissioned report.
The report, called Beyond Scarcity: Power, Poverty and the Global Water Crisis, says climate change “now poses what may be an unparalleled threat to human development”. Read more... (285 words, 1 image, estimated 1:08 mins reading time)
BBC News – February 16, 2007
This article covers an unofficial meeting where international politicians met and agreed to tackle climate change. This article has very few scientific facts but its political implications are dramatic.
Delegates agreed that developing countries would also have to meet targets for cutting greenhouse gas emissions, as well as rich countries.
The forum’s closing statement said man-made climate change was now “beyond doubt”.
The two-day meeting brought together legislators from countries including the Group of Eight rich nations, plus Brazil, China, India, Mexico and South Africa.
US senator Joe Lieberman forecast that the US Congress would enact a law on cutting emissions by the end of next year, possibly this year. Read more... (229 words, estimated 55 secs reading time)

This is an interesting article that is a little difficult to read in its original form. I hesitate to do this, but I feel compelled to insert the entire article here in this forum. I want to stress that I do not own the copyright to the following information – the copyright belongs to the original site and author as they have advertised on their site. I will only do this in rare situations where readability is more of an issue.
